The Bernardsville Library Foundation was formed in 2011, with the purpose of raising private funding for the town's public library.  The Bernardsville Library Foundation Endowment was established at about the same time, with the purpose of raising additional funds, which invested over time, would produce enough interest income to offset the gap between municipal funding and the public library's operational budget. The Endowment is currently valued at $674,594 (as of 3/31/2024).  The Foundation hopes to raise the total value of the Endowment to $2.5 million by 2028.
